Obama makes the Wright Choice

Barack Obama is a unique candidate, and it's not just because he's black. Obama is a genuine guy, he does not seem to be judgemental, and he seems to really want to help the country. I don't think there has been this kind of candidate since Robert F. Kennedy. But after hearing about Jeremiah Wright I became greatly disenchanted with Barack. Finally, Barack did what needed to be done, and cut off ties with the pastor, and made me believe in him again. If you watched his press conference, it was easy to tell that he was truly hurt by what Wright said, and he was not doing it just because it would help in his political career. It was not about the upcoming primaries, Obama disowned the pastor because Barack no longer agrees with him. To him, its not about the politics, its about ideals and morals, and the two of them clearly no longer agreed. I believe in Obama again because he cares, he's not a machine, and this decision clearly took a toll on him. But he is standing up for what he believes in, and I hope people understand that and vote for him because of it.

The only reason Obama separated himself from his pastor was because of his campaign. Earlier in the campaign Obama defended his pastor and his church over and over again. He called Reverend Wright "THe Old Uncle he says things he doesn't agree with." Only recently did he totally let go of his pastor. Doesn't sound quite as gallant as you made it out to be.
