Brett Favre has asked the Green Bay Packers to be released from his contract so he can be free to sign with another team.
I think this is a very sad day for the NFL, as we are about to see one of its greats make a huge mistake. Seeing Favre come back as a Packer would be great, but for him to come back in any other uniform would not.
I hope the Packers reconsider and sign him, or he reconsiders and goes back to his tractor.
